The book, Why Do I Look So Different?, is about my first alpaca, Ewok. He is a Huacaya alpaca with Suri alpaca parents. Finding out he has another type of fleece inspired me to find out how this happens. When I found out—through genetics-I looked up Ewok’s family tree and discovered several of his family members are Huacaya alpacas. I also believe God created Ewok for a specific purpose.
